(Shanghai, PRC –June 27, 2014) – Ringier Trade Media Ltd. and its magazine - China Food Manufacturing Journal have recently announced the winners recently of the 2014 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for the Food and Beverage Industry. Following a strict selection process of the independent judge panel, with reference to the results of online voting, 23 winning companies featured their innovative products across 5 categories: Food& Beverage Ingredients, Processing, Packaging, Food Safety and Others. The Award aims to commend the contributions of companies’ promoting the development of domestic food & beverage industry.

The grand Awards ceremony was held at the 2014 Food Ingredients, Health Ingredients and Natural Ingredients Asia-China Show (Fi Asia-China Hi Ni China 2014) in the Shanghai New International Expo Center on June 27, 2014. More than 100 high-level delegates from winning companies such as DSM, Enzymotec, Pharma foods international, Mettle-Toledo and Hanovia participated together with Awards judges, VIP buyers attending the tradeshow and industry media. Winners received awards for their innovative products which drive development in China’s food and beverage industry. Meanwhile, all winners received a free showcase opportunity at the most traffic-attractive space at FiA 2014 where trade show visitors were able to learn more about of the winning products.

Co-organized by Ringier Trade Media and its magazine China Food Manufacturing Journal, together with 2014 Food Ingredients, Health Ingredients and Natural Ingredients Asia-China Show (Fi Asia-China Hi Ni China 2014), Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for the Food and Beverage Industry is now in its’ eighth successful year.

We are merely the framework by which these Awards take place.”

This year, “nutriceuticals” is still one of the most competitive categories due to the fact that China consumers are more concerned over their health and food safety, and holding food producers accountable for their products. Among them, the Oatwell oat beta glucan of DSM (China) Company, K-REAL krill oil of Israeli Enzymotec company, Green Caviar ™ anti-oxidative, moisturizing and skin whitening sea grape extract of TCI biomedical Limited, were some of the excellent submissions were singled out by the judges.as they not only offer tangeable , measurable benefits, but are stable and easy-to-manage in various food and beverage.

The most important elements in any Awards Program is that it must be honest, it must be fair, and it must be transparent and …in our case …that it truly identifies “Innovation”. Thus it is the independent panel of experts – the judges who play the key role in the selection of the winners, that is the one important feature that make this award special and different from other such programs in China. These judges cannot be bought, we cannot be bought – nominations are open to everybody in the industry – the final winners are selected however solely on their merit – and nothing more.
