Mike Hay is the President of Ringier Trade Media Ltd, thecompany he launched jointly with Ringier AG. A Canadian, Mike moved to Hong Kong in 1988 from Canada to become Southeast Asia Marketing Director of Time, and then joined Global Sources as Group Publisher for 7 years based in Manila and Hong Kong before starting Ringier Trade. He has been in the publishing industry for 40 years, starting with the newspaper industry in London, then moving to Canada in the mid ‘70s. He spent 14 years in the Canadian magazine scene, including launching his own magazine, Toronto Business as well as working with Southam Publications and Time Magazine as Business development Manager for 7 years . He has been living in Asia for 25 years and considers Hong Kong as home
