At the global level, Dr Moench-Pfanner has brokered many noteworthy public-private-civic partnerships, including the implementation of nation-wide staple food fortification in Asia, Latin America and Africa; the introduction of micronutrient powders to the emergency sector; and programmatic research in nutrition. She is a Fulbright Scholar, and holds a MSc from Michigan State University, USA and a Doctorate in International Nutrition from the University of Bonn, Germany. She is the author and co-author of more than 60 articles published in peer-reviewed journals; has presented at numerous conferences and workshops; and is a board member of the Rice Bowl Index and steering committee member of the Asian Round Table of Food Innovation for Improved Nutrition.
