The waterborne inorganic modified alkyd resin is synthesized by introducing the silica sol, with water as the dispersion medium, in the later preparation stage. In the drying process, the active functional group in silica sol by further reacts with the hydrophilic hydroxyl in resin, improving the cross-linking density of the film.
