SABIC has a proprietary technology to use chemical de-polymerization to process single used recycled PET plastics into LNP™ ELCRIN™ iQ resins and LNP ELCRIN iQ based new compounds.

Compared to fossil based conventional PBT, LNP ELCRIN iQ PBT resin could provide comparable mechanical properties and FDA capability, while also create value contributing to carbon neutrality (global warming impact could decrease 29%, cumulative energy demand could decrease 43%^*).

Based on LNP ELCRIN iQ PBT resin, SABIC provides potential solutions for cosmetic applications, e.g. cosmetic packaging, cosmetic fibers, etc., which provide sustainable alternatives to traditional materials, designs and processes that contribute to customer’s net zero carbon targets.
