TRUMPF offers since the mid of 80ies programmable focusing optics in several models. Up to now TRUMPF installed much more than 2,000 scanners worldwide. The most innovative today is the PFO 3D for remote welding, which is to say welding at large working distances. With the PFO 3D the user can even perform welding tasks at different levels, as the integrated, high-dynamic Z-axis enables the focal distance to be varied by up to 140 mm.
