The Illipe tree grows on the riverbanks of pristine rainforests in Borneo. The trees are tall and widely dispersed making the collection of the seeds a difficult task. The seeds are collected by people living in the rainforest and used for producing “Borneo butter”, an important energy source and nutrient. High performance butters for luxurious feel, Lipex IllipeSoft is designed to bring the appreciated moisturising properties of cocoa butter and illipe butter to personal care formulations, without the difficulties often observed when formulating with traditional forms of the butters. They are also more compatible with other commonly used emollients and waxes, compared to the traditional butters.
